2017 Footy season with YHA

Get excited everyone – the long wait through summer is over and footy is finally back!

Summer is over and so is the cricket, which means the most wonderful time of the year is here. From Melbourne to Perth and everywhere else in between, footy fanatics have been holding out for the first game of the season since the final second of the fairy tale that was the 2016 AFL Grand Final.

There are so many questions that AFL fans have been pondering in the off season. Can the Bulldogs win back to back premierships for their captain Bob Murphy? Will GWS make it all the way to the Grand Final this year? How will Essendon’s top players perform after a year away from the game? Who will finish the bottom of the ladder?

The answers to these questions and so many more will be answered by watching, attending, living and breathing the great game of AFL for the next six months.

Not to be outdone by the Western Bulldogs’ fairy tale premiership in the AFL, the Cronulla Sharks provided the NRL with its very own Cindarella story by winning their first ever title last October after half a century of trying.

NRL fans are desperate to see how the Sharkies will back up in 2017, and who will challenge their crown. Will it be JT and his Cowboys charging back to the top, or maybe their Queensland cousins, the Broncos? Can the Roosters and Rabbitohs return to the winner’s circle or perhaps the up-and-coming Raiders and Panthers will start mixing it with the big boys? Or we might see a bolter come out of nowhere?

Win, lose, or draw, 2017 is shaping up as another bumper season of NRL . . . and you can follow your team around the country with YHA!
