The Southern Hemisphere's crème de la crème prepare to battle it out against our homegrown shredders in the 15th BOWL-A-RAMA - smack bang in the middle of Bondi!
Josh Rodriguez by Dean Tirkot
“I love the Aussie skate scene - it’s always been really strong, even when skateboarding wasn’t as popular. BOWL-A-RAMA is by far one of the best contests we’ve ever had, and the skating is always next level.”
With a quote like that from someone as colossal as Tony Hawk, we really don’t need to talk this little shindig up any more. But, we will; because BOWL-A-RAMA is epic; and it’s our jobs to do so…
Tony Hawk by Dean Tirkot
For the skate-fanatics among us, BOWL-A-RAMA is the annual, internationally accredited competition where home grown shredders; professionals, amateurs and juniors alike, test their skills against the very best in the world. It serves as the largest gathering of legendary and current pro skaters in the Southern Hemisphere, and spans across Australia, NZ, USA and Spain. Pretty cool.
What’s cooler is that the Australian chapter is held at the Bondi Beach skate bowl – so if you haven’t dedicated your heart and soul to skateboarding, you’ll still have a dazzling time in the sun (both literal and atmospheric) whilst unknowingly rubbing shoulders with the crème de la crème of the international skate scene. As you do.
