9 days of music, film, art, design and raging parties is how the city of Melbourne celebrates Melbourne’s booming independent music scene.

Music will fill the streets, bars and concert venues of Melbourne from 11-19 November when Melbourne Music Week comes to town. A celebration of Melbourne's booming independent music scene, there will be everything from DJ's spinning their tunes to hard core rock and roll, from indie folk melodies to kids performances.

The festival hub will be the State Library of Victoria - the stunning domed La Trobe Reading Room will act as the hub's main stage and the outdoor forecourt plays host to free events all throughout the day and well into the night. Plus there'll be a beer garden and rum deck next to the outdoor stage, so you'll be well hydrated between sets, and Deliveroo will make sure you're snacking on the best munchies that Melbourne's food scene has to offer.

There's 110 events covering music, film, art and design and 240 artists performing at this stellar festival, which means that you'll have to somehow decide who you're going to see, because sadly you can't see them all.

For the program and more information about the festival, make sure you check out their website.
