September has brought the best snowfall Thredbo has seen since 2000, plus Shoulder Season rates for stays at the award-winning Thredbo YHA, located at the foot of the mountain! Snow bunnies, rejoice!
Blizzard of Oz round 3 has blessed Thredbo with its best snow since the year 2000, with huge dumps overnight taking the season’s total snowfall well past the four-metre mark. Early September saw the accumulative season base reach 233cm, the deepest base in almost two decades, while the total snowfall topped four metres.
Mother Nature’s freezin’ cold blessings paired with the Groomer’s gallant efforts has resulted in the best slopes Thredbo YHA Manager, Bianca, has ever seen. That’s ridiculously high praise, kids!
The crazy-epic snowfall has created whispers that Thredbo will extend their ski season past its regular October long weekend conclusion. Whilst we’ve not heard an official announcement Thredbo’s friendly neighbour Perisher has extended their season – so who knows whats to come!
Whilst the Snow Gods seem to not care one bit about the date; Thredbo YHA sure does. Their Shoulder Season rates are now in play – meaning you can stay and play in the glory of this snowfall at discounted rates! From as little as $63pp,pn; you can stay in the award-winning, cosy-cool hostel which literally overlooks the mountain.
Shoulder September, you’re looking mighty cool. Geddit?
